Russia is a different kind of place to play music. Elton John first played there and the audience was stiff and subdued even though you could see they loved it.

I vividly remember watching this actual show when it was broadcast on UK late night TV, probably a few years after it was screened in the states. I guess back then they were filling up the graveyard slots with cheap imports. Can't believe two or three decades have got away from me since. The days run away like wild horses over the hill.

Thick As a Brick wasn’t a joke or a parody album. Ian came up with all that stuff much later. He was very serious about the album if you see the early interviews regarding the Lp in 1972-75.

The most incredible show I ever saw and heard was Jethro Tull in 1982 ,Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia.

All the iterations were great, but the Anderson, Barre, Bunker, Cornick will always be my favorite. Newcomers should listen to Tull chronologically.

Ian could mention his longtime right hand man, Guitarist, Martin Barre. That was the Tull sound.
